Quick one because I ain't got much to add to the conversation. This conversation's been had since forever, and we're still making surprised Pikachu faces when our digital infrastructure held together with spit and Microsoft sales manager's leftover cocaine collapses. Monoculture is bad. CTOs are dumb and don't care. CISOs are dumb and don't care. It's not their money. They're not going to visit 50 sites to fix Crowdstrike shit: you are. And, chances are you're not getting paid for it. In fact, you are the one paying for it. You won't get the nice car, or the Wednesday afternoon tee time, or buy a house, or travel the world, or see your family for the forseeable future. Shit would be very different if we had some sort of social safety net that would allow silly workers like us to say "I'm not going to put in a single minute of extra time if you're not paying me. Still not paying me? Good luck, I quit." They promise one disruption and give you this one instead. They fire you while making record profits. They will pay a robot 100 to avoid paying you 10.
